Art Glass Repair
The restoration of Galle, Lalique and Tiffany art glass requires a full range of both art and skill. For several years we have been both the American repair shop for Baccarat, as well as one of four shops approved by Steuben for the repair of their work. We specialize in optical epoxy repairs. This means that we can reconstruct broken glass pieces—sculpture, shades and vases—and fill and coat missing areas as well. We restore inconspicuously and often invisibly—without damaging the piece in any way.
When it comes to cameo and colored glass, we are at our best. Being artists ourselves, we delight in the challenge of filling in different colors and forms, even doing invisible repairs to Tiffany favrille pieces. We work often with Handel shades, sealing cracks, and doing the more complex restoration that these shades sometimes require.
